After his trial team prevailed against the California Attorney General's Office in a prisoner rights case, Attorney Lamere secured a fee award totaling nearly $260,000. Relying on Attorney Lamere's Answering Brief, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit recently affirmed the fee award.

March 20, 2022

An integral part of getting this case to trial, Attorney Lamere fought back two rounds of summary judgment and two interlocutory appeals filed by defendants in this case, helping to pave the way for this historic verdict.

San Diego sheriff’s deputies placed a transgender woman into a cell with three men, one of whom beat her so severely that her jaw was fractured, according to a new lawsuit filed by Attorney Lamere and team against the Sheriff’s Department.
